ROOT CANAL TREATMENTS
Root canal treatment , also referred to as endodontic treatment, is a fairly common procedure in modern dentistry that is used to remove inflamed or infected tissue from inside a tooth. It involves the removal of pulp that is infected or inflamed. Local anesthesia is first administered in the affected area, following which an access hole is made on the tooth. Once exposed, then the pulp chamber and root canal are completely cleaned out using endodontic files and refilled with a biocompatible area to protect the area from further damage and restore form and function.
After a tooth is endodontically treated, patient is offered with a variety of crown options- Ceramic, DMLS or Zirconia. Depending on the position of crown placement and patient's affordability, a crown is made.
